Here is a poll regarding domain names. Do you have any particular affinity to one over the other?

mastodon.sdf.org began life in April of 2017 and while we've successfully migrated mastodon versions over the years, our database has some considerable cruft. We're working on a strategy to minimize migration downtime and bring this server to v4.2.x and resolve some legacy issues.

That being said v4.1.x is still current and supported, but we'd like to get to v4.2.x in the near future.

@SDF Just be aware that Mastodon sadly is a registered trademark of a German legal company and there are restrictions on when and how you are allowed to use it. I.e. you aren‘t if you don’t use the original unmodified version of the Mastodon software.

So I think it is wise to have a fallback outside that namespace.
