This short video provides a very good explanation of why UK electricity prices are sky high, who profits, and how to fix it without costing the government anything in subsidy. This is the kind of explanation that the mainstream media used to do and (in those days) it led to somewhat more informed public debate pressuring action in a rational direction. Meanwhile, thanks to Evan for a model of clarity.

You can tell there is a new theory of the Universe inside this envelope, even without having to open it.

So I've been building a 100% analog polyphonic synthesizer with an unique twist. To use only vacuum tube era technology from the 1930s.

Over 300 neon gas diodes create the sound you hear. Pretty awesome for technology from 100 years ago.

Still a work-in-progress, but I wanted to post a video of it with the innards spread out across the workbench. : }

I'm a big fan of the mRNA vaccine tech, and have received both Pfizer and Moderna shots.

This gouging is just sickening.

"Moderna is quadrupling the cost of covid vaccines, from $26/dose to $110-130. Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel calls the price hike "consistent with the value" of the mRNA vaccines. Moderna's manufacturing costs are $2.85/dose, for a 4,460% markup..."
