For #MonDog I want to pay tribute to this lovely girl, Zoey, whom I lost a few weeks ago to bone cancer. She was 11 and retired from a long life in her joy zone--a livestock guardian in charge of a herd of dairy goats and poultry. My strongest memory of her is day she stood between my mom and a furious feral sow w/piglets. Mom has #dementia and thought the pigs belonged in the barn. But for this courageous girl, she'd have met a horrid fate that day. RIP Zoey. You are forever in my heart. 💔
