People saying "in mass" or "in route" instead of "en masse" and "en route" irritate me.
@brad I haven't noticed that one before!
@levisan for some reason I annoy myself by looking at driving-related subreddits and people there make that mistake all the time
@brad @levisan Sure, but perhaps "in mass" is least offensive or correct enough to mean a lot of numbers / mass of people until in the sentence is totally incorrect.
and
never heard "right away" instead of "right of way" even amongst non-english speakers. (but doesn't say that it doesn't exist!). First time for me too.
@levisan ugh yes. Similar one that also bothers me is "right away" instead of "right of way". At least the ones you said still mostly make sense.
