On watchOS 10 betas, how do you bring up the Eject water function?

Follow

@sanguish If you are in water lock, press and hold the crown to exit. You can enter water lock manually in control center if necessary.

@lorihc @sanguish That was a (very nice) change in watchOS 9, right? It's great for reading long scrolling notifications, but also welcome for parents of toddlers. My son quickly figured out how to scroll to unlock. His finger strength wasn’t strong enough to hold down the crown to unlock yet. 😅

@thefaj @sanguish Yep, that interaction was new in watchOS 9 to allow for navigating app UI while in water lock—an important use case for Apple Watch Ultra, but benefits all models.

@lorihc oh, interesting - I actually preferred the scrolling, but knowing why the change was made makes sense 👍

@lorihc problem is I can’t down the water thing anymore. So not sure how to get there.

It used to be a swipe up and then tap the droplet. But now that brings up notifications (which I rarely look at)

@sanguish @lorihc

It's now behind the side button, at least on my AWU but I think it applies to all models

@thattridentdude @sanguish That’s correct: press the side button to invoke Control Center.

As an aside, I love this new reshuffling.

I think this is the 2nd time since the OG series 0 that the basic conventions have been shuffled around and this time it truly feels like it hits the sweet spot in terms of intuitiveness

Took a little to unlearn muscle memory, but it feels more fluid for lack of a better word

Don't know if you guys already received feedback but perhaps its an idea to repeat the onboarding flow between seeds with a fixed flag if people struggle?
