@davewoodx Does this happen in the RC build of 9.6?
@lorihc still happening. WatchOS version 9.6 (20U73), phone is running iOS 16.6 (20G5070a). Example (this one from Ivory), shows your photo on a message from CM Harrington. Same message in the notification below from Mona App. Note the buggy notification has a time of 3h ago. Which doesn’t correspond to anything I can see (oddly the 3h was 2h minutes ago).
@davewoodx Would you be willing to install the logging profile and capture a sysdiagnose next time it happens after profile install? In the meantime we’ll see if we can reproduce in watchOS 9.6 and watchOS 10 betas here. Thanks!
@davewoodx What all of those notifications have in common is that they’re forwarded from the phone. What OS is your phone running?
@lorihc main watch is version 9.6 (20U73), phone is running iOS 16.6 (20G5070a). Second watch is running 9.5.1 (20T570), which I’d just switched to because I’m in a high damage env tonight, but it also just reproduced the same bug. Captured a sysdiagnose, so will send that over later. Note that the phone shows the correct avatars. But again, it’s not just third party apps, the phone app did it yesterday (caused me to return a call from someone that didn’t call me).
@davewoodx Yep, saw that in your original post.
@davewoodx @lorihc oh, I’ve seen that for a while now, but I assumed it was an Ivory bug, not an OS-level issue
@matt1corey @davewoodx Debugging on Mastodon is less than ideal, so please post Feedback numbers and I’ll pass on for investigation. Thanks!
@lorihc @matt1corey will do. Debugging for you is worse on Mastodon maybe, but actually seeing a reply, and genuine interest to fix something from a person is a million times better for us than the black hole of radar. 🤣
@davewoodx @matt1corey Totally understand.
@davewoodx @lorihc A million times this! So thankful for you and others who engage on socials! (and I apologize for any future nagging. Of course, if it becomes too much, please just say the word, and I hope folks will honor it!)
@davewoodx @matt1corey An engineer is eagerly awaiting your sysdiagnose to see if it contains any clues. I suspect this is “easy to reproduce” because your devices are in state. We’d love to know what state that is. :-) Post FB number when you have it!
@lorihc Submitted. FB12764691
@lorihc I've just updated to the latest version, and will let you know if/when I see it again.
