I’m super excited to explore all of those sessions but at the same time I know I’m in no rush and I’m planning to enjoy the process of learning new tricks and frameworks as much as possible. #WWDC2023

Try out CKSyncEngine today to sync your app’s data to CloudKit!

Remember to file feedback early and often about any enhancements you’d like to see or bugs you might find.

We can’t wait to see what you build!

CKSyncEngine is already in use by several apps and services across the system, for example Freeform and NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore.

Can you spot all the usages across the OS?

I would highly recommend looking at the tests in the sample project.

They show an easy way to test your sync logic and error handling.

By writing automated tests like this, you can ensure that your app syncs properly today, tomorrow, and forever.

If you would otherwise be writing your own custom sync engine (hi @marcoarment), you should use CKSyncEngine.

What used to be 5,000 lines of code is now 500. Syncing with CloudKit has never been easier 🌤️

These videos truly take an army to produce and I am so grateful to everyone at Apple who helped make this shine.

There are a lot of bad takes about the Vision Pro, saying it has no value. What if you were like me. I have 40% hearing and have wanted to turn on subtitles for real life since a decade ago. I work from home and have tools which help me hear things. I can’t remember the last time I had to ask someone to repeat themselves.

Imagine you have an immune system disorder, but you still want to have a job and friends without putting your life at risk.

There are more of these. Use your imagination.

Also! Please try to focus on asking your question only in the lab that makes the most sense, and maybe one backup lab if it’s ambiguous which is best. Any lab concierge who sees your question and thinks, “this question would be better asked in Lab X” will attempt to transfer you to Lab X, and that takes some coordination. We’re trying to match you up with the engineers best able to answer your questions, so be as specific as you can about the topics you want to cover.

Reviving a thing I tweeted last year with edits for :

For those participating in WWDC activities events this week, I strongly suggest you not phrase your question as "will you ever..." or "any plans to...". We cannot answer those. Instead, please say what you're trying to do & why, and maybe ask if there are any options available now.

@agis yes, they will be updated! The editors are working on that now and hope to have it updated as soon as possible.

@lorihc We’ll be in the channel, but we can answer coding questions too!

@simsaens Part of the fun of WWDC week and the next few months is folks finding all the small things that delight.

@phil Development Watch! 😀 (I spy a refurbished Series 6 on Amazon for less than $200. Series 6 has AWDL support, for faster debugging with Xcode.)
