@petep44 @KayJanes My method was taught to me by a roommate years ago and involves focusing on the muscles around the diaphragm: they’re jumping up, and you want to push them back down and still them. Breathe out, push down. Repeat for 30-60 seconds, and they’ll chill.

@billyjoebowers Yeah, I’m focusing on calming the spasming diaphragm, pushing it down and stilling it. It requires concentration, but only takes a minute or so if you can focus.

It’s impossible to invoke my hiccup cure while also reading Mastodon. It requires absolute concentration. (Hiccups cured after locking phone for about a minute.)

@deanatoire Oh nice! I bet you’re right that how many of the tracks are actually available is highly dependent on locale, subscription status, and personal library.

The Radiohead songs are super important to this playlist. I’ve been editing and augmenting this since it was a CD mix called Moody II in 2001. It’s my coding and concentration go-to.

When I talk to comic book artists I always emphasize the importance of clearly separating their planes of depth. This rule is only for comics and does not apply to Turkish photographer Sami Uçan.

@inferis Yeah, that’s my guess. It’s why I’ve tried to hang on to CDs of some bands that would otherwise be difficult to find. (Some have never been on Apple Music at all.)

@inferis Ah, it’s the songs from Amnesiac that went missing. Also Liam Finn, Zero 7, U2, Soul Coughing… so random.

@inferis Weird. I sent it to my test kid account, and I can see which ones are missing. One is also not playable by me anymore (a whole mess of songs I’ve been listening to for years became “not available in your country or region” recently), but some others are just plain odd. Lots of Radiohead songs from Kid A are gone, but one is still there. These are all the songs in order:

I always wonder which songs will be dropped when I share playlists. This one lost 11 songs, but I can’t tell which ones because when I open the link, I see all 53.

I was not gay or trans but I had difficult parents. If you think these parents' "rights" laws only affect one group of children or another, you're so wrong. These laws attack the autonomy of all children. This is everybody's fight.
I respect the fact that right now it is LGBTQ+ kids who are in the most immediate danger. But they need support from all of us.

@DrTCombs Yikes! I really need to get a camera, as a city bus did this to me last week.

A few highlights of Series 6, 7 & 8: 6 was the first to have a Blood Oxygen sensor and app. 7 had a new screen size & shape and a full keyboard. 8 has crash detection (and with watchOS 10, that same technology can be leveraged for sport-related applications via a new CoreMotion API).

Thanks to the Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling this May, the EPA was forced to remove protections from most of America's wetlands this week.

Harlan Crow's firm lobbied for the rollback while he secretly plied Justice Thomas with gifts.

Anyone see a problem here?

Today I’m pleased to reveal the updates that I’ve been working on throughout the Summer in preparation for the release of iOS 17 in a few weeks time! 🚀

Most of my time has been spent on redesigning my Apple Watch apps for watchOS 10 but I’ve also adopted AppIntents in TV Launcher, added Interactive Widgets to TV Remote and have been refining other Widgets across supported apps.
