My takeaway?

We should have ebike subsidies *everywhere*, and *now*. Cheaper than electric car subsidies, and arguably even more catalytic

I started growing tomatoes and peppers on my windowsill. Now, when I mix them in a salad, I get a sense of satisfaction that I never had in all those years of stealing them from my neighbor’s garden.

One of my great loves is drystone, and I'm one of very few female drystone wallers in Scotland/the world.

Here's something we built recently. A 'planticrub' inspired structure.

Planticrubs were small, circular, drystone enclosures traditonally used in Shetland/outer Hebrides for growing kale plants.

Watched the last episode of #Picard with my 8 year old. He was not very much interested in the great special effects but more how the characters interacted. So proud of my boy right now. He asked why, Tuvok didn't hug @JeriLRyan ,because she was crying. Try explain a Vulcan to him 😂.

If you're not a very wealthy (10%) white cis man, you should be very worried about your future. Your only way out is though solidarity. You won't be okay on your own, no matter how hard you want to believe it. You should trust those telling you this because we've been right all along.

It would be interesting if any stores would put up signs that says “NO WHITE CUSTOMERS, PLEASE”, or “WE DO NOT SERVE STRAIGHT PEOPLE”, because that’s what this #SCOTUS ruling allows.

Conservatives rely on the fact that they are somehow indispensable; that wealthy, cis-het, native-born, able-bodied, white people will always control the vast majority of wealth and opportunity in this nation; so they can pass judgments like these that are plainly absurd if they were put on the receiving end. But somehow, these ideas are fine as long as “the right people” are the ones getting abused.

The Supreme Court ruling in favor of a bigot who was never even asked to do the thing she’s freaking out about is just the latest example of how successful the extreme far right has been in enshrining their bigotry into law, and an unmistakable announcement of the importance of reforming the court.

As a gay web developer I refuse to make websites for straight people at all.

The US SCOTUS ruled today in favor of a woman who didn't want to serve LGBTQ+ people, saying she had a constitutional right to do so.

This is _bad_.
