@lis@niu.moe despite being a Debian user- I always hated systemd...

@lucifargundam @lis Devuan is an option, but I prefer my systems rolling-release and fairly stable. The only systems I tried that are this way are FreeBSD, Gentoo, and maybe one other but I didn't stick with it since it wasn't stable but it is now (I'm thinking of a systemd-free version of Arch but I can't remember)

@coyote @lis@niu.moe I haven't tried debian, I'll have to consider it- thanks! I've tried bands for a brief time but not enough to have a solid feel for any. I also game and stream on Debian and am not sure how well my setup will work with bsds...

@lucifargundam @lis I can recommend BSDs if you're willing to sacrifice games. Although GPU-passthrough may be a better option in the case of gaming on a BSD.. I haven't really tested this hypothesis because I'm not yet fully dissatisfied with linux. Weird to think I may switch to FreeBSD with something Linux in a VM for gaming with GPU passthrough. Most of my programs I use in linux are available in FreeBSD too.

@coyote @lis@niu.moe I'm looking for to cyberpunk 2077 but don't think it'll be readily playable on BSD

@lucifargundam @lis Yeah, same, I'm sure it will run on wine quickly enough under DXVK on Linux. This is not the year of the *BSD desktop :ac_laughter:
