Checked my bank account- still no stimulus. Out of all the stimuli(I think there's been 3-4 now), I've only ever gotten the first one.
@RustyCrab
iirc the us treasury said it's not considered income and thus not taxable- and is not meant as a loan.

From the irs
"If you didn't get the full amount of the first and second Economic Impact Payments you were eligible for, claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on a 2020 tax return. Even if you aren't required to file, you must file a 2020 tax return to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit."

Even if a media outlet were to tell me good/bad news, I would follow up with sources or would be skeptical either way. Better to hear it straight from.the horse's mouth.
@RustyCrab @lucifargundam Well, considering inflation (which is likely going to occur once the money makes its rounds through various markets) we're paying it back alright, just not in absolute dollars, but in the relative decrease in value of our existing dollars. I'm hoping it will be more stable than I expect, but I'm legitimately concerned about this possibility. Thoughts?
@RustyCrab @johnabs
You're going to have to pay for a golden toilet somehow at some point one way or the other. I'm sure there will come a time where they will ask for more money- that will never change either way. I'm thinking of using this stimulus money for investments so I can profit on such aquired capital.
@johnabs @RustyCrab
Inflation is going up and has been going on up. Doesn't help when people ask for increased minimum wage instead of requiring regulated lowering of market floors/ceilings. Kinda feels like people have the mental accuracy of a stormtrooper.
