I miss college... I challenged my professior just as much as he challenged me. In fact, I aced that class because I was willing to ask all the 'stupid' questions that lead to "omg i didnt think of that" anwsers.
I miss college... because there was a wealth of resources available for me to do learning outside of the classes I was assigned. In that time, I figured "sure, im not assigned to learn that- but f*** that, ima go to the school library and borrow 12 books on it"
I miss college.... because even though I disagreed on things with other people- i understand I came from a different academic background from them, we shared a mutual home for our learning and could eventually meet at some point given enough study.
I miss college.... because even though I didnt need to go and likewise others- we all wanted to better ourselves for various reasons; resulting in our own mutually understanding satisfaction.
True, college today may be monopolized, capitalized or even biased- but why not 'hack' it to be the resource it ultimately is?
Going to college is not just a matter of extending one's learning- but furthering one's ability to learn and adapt. Shoudl I challenge you in an intellectual debate- I would hope you would have the sufficient background to suffice your stance and oppose me with the full-force of what you learned.
Please. Prove me wrong. Please, challenge my understanding.
It is in only in these brief interlude moments of interactions that are otherwise flashes of memory in our lifetimes- that we can learn and grow and share the 'ultimate truth' of 'what is'.
