I love pineapples- but a lot of Americans consider it 'taboo' to put fruit on pizza. Despite that- I like to order a 'Hawaiian' pizza that has bacon and pineapple on it :)

In the US, you will get pineapple in 酢豚 be default. You would have to ask for it to be removed otherwise.

In Japan, there is a debate on whether to put pineapple in "酢豚(sweet-and-sour pork)" or not.
