figured out why the writing in Heavy Object is bad

everything is about the core premise
no time is even spent considering anything that doesn't serve the core premise
then there's the wacky worldbuilding
> lmao nobles in the 20xxs, in command positions
> the idea that they wouldn't just nuke the shit out of these overgrown tanks
ship-mounted railguns would be a useful counter assuming you had a stronk enough nuclear reactor to power it
I do like the detail that pilot suits have temperature regulation stuff like the space suit under-layer
also credit where credit's due

it's a japanese sci-fi war series that doesn't involve primarily humanoid robots

you may not like it but humanoid robots are NOT what peak performance looks like

peak performance looks like tanks
you know it may involve humanoid robots but I think aldnoah.zero is better in every way

at least this has some quality waifu material* ig
A.Z only gets best girl in season 2
ah yes we don't know who owns this massive war machine with no less than THREE nuclear reactors

even the cold war didn't involve this sort of stupidity
Losing track of a ute with a machine gun or a tank? I guess. A fighter jet? Bit of a stretch, but it has happened before.

The equivalent of three nuclear warships? Fuck off.
also
> plasma weapons
> high-output lasers
nice "blow yourself up" device
nuclear reactors put out a decent bit of power but if you managed to pump out enough power to make either effective - which we haven't managed yet, by the way - you'll just get whacked by the flash from your own weapons

fuck, we don't even have effective railguns or coilguns yet, and they have stronk lasers?
> sink three nuclear reactors
> which proceed to detonate

hmm yes not only is he going to be vaporised, he'll have cancer.
the media really has no respect for nuclear reactors

that shit will fuck you up
if you don't get caught in the explosion you'll just get super cancer
this show is obnoxiously horny
I'm here to see MILITARY HARDWARE, not tits
also I feel like "baby magnum" is a euphemism but I can't figure out what for
