#Pinephone has nothing to do with #Google though.... It's not even #Android-based...
@lucifargundam yeah, I know, that is why I said that I like them and would use one. My comment about google was more about why I wouldn't use a mainstream android phone.
@writh
Ah, ok. I got confused because it shows on my side as being strung together so I thought it was talking about the same thing.
Is there any apps in particular you'd like to see on the pinephone if you switch over? :P
@lucifargundam my most important apps are telegram, msft teams, an email client that can use msft’s modern auth, an Authenticator app, LastPass, and Bitwarden.
@writh
-telegram seems to be supported
-havent heard of anyone trying teams out on pinephone
-msft's modern auth? Don't know what that is- but there are auth apps available for pinephone
-lastpass and bitwarden _should_ work, but haven't tested it out myself yet.
@lucifargundam Microsoft has an authentication standard that orgs can implement on exchange servers. They call it Microsoft Modern Authentication. I need an email client that supports it so that I can get work email.
@writh
"The Modern Authentication in Microsoft 365 is based on ADAL (Active Directory Authentication Library) and OAuth 2.0 and supports some of the newer features that are available in Microsoft 365. These security features provide enhanced authentication to users. Examples include:
Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) using smart cards
Certificate-based Authentication (CBA)
Third-party SAML identity providers"
Roughly speaking, aside from it being a Msft thing, it sounds possibly capable from pinephone.
@lucifargundam I downloaded #tootle and so far I like what I see. I like how configurable it is. #pinephone is awesome! I would go for one of those if I were to move away from iOS. I'm just not a fan of google and their privacy policies.
