How to tell how old a technical concept is: if it's called "something of the first/second kind", it must be one or two hundred years old or so. But if it says "Type-1/Type-2 something", it's probably from the mid 20th century.

And if it has deliberate spelling errors, it's from the 21st century. 22nd century no will be only #'s.
