Fun backstory- it's because of projects like my keyboard that I got my first job in a full-IT company and my career actually started moving forward. I learned a lot by simply putting together my first keyboard and would highly recommend anyone to do so if they want to learn more as well.

Some skills honed::
-soldering/resoldering
-firmware flashing
-continuity and general component testing with voltmeter

Other skills can be exampled through it but those were the biggest takeaways in my interview. Though again, there are setups that allow a new user to not have to learn such in order to get started.

Oof! An ereader with only 4gb? That's as good as a paperweight... Good thing you have that sd card!

Note::: I have a slowly growing personal library irl . Space is precious to me because of how much i hold onto.

@marathon
It's a bunch of parts I bought separately put together myself. Not too hard to do- especially this particular setup that didn't require soldering unlike my first one.

I got the PCB from 1upkeyboards.com/shop/controll which is a 60%[less keys than average keyboard found in common places] RGB board that has plenty of customizable features/functions

The keycaps I got from
maxkeyboard.com/custom-white-t

The switches I got on ebay and added a few 'artesian' keycaps from elsewhere(the red lotus esc/return, g-prism [below the return], and the speckled translucent at the top-right.

If you're new to the mechanical keyboard, I would suggest reading this primer first to get acquainted as you will undoubtedly come across many questions as you get further into the fun hobby.
mechanicalkeyboards.com/learn.

It can get expensive the more enthusiastic you get into it. My next project is an Ergodox, which I still need switches and keycaps for. I'll have to solder those in, but I've had experience doing so with my first board :)

You will see exactly what life is worth, when all the rest has gone.

i have enough subscriptions for other things :) thanks though! $35USD a year isn't a bad deal!

I agree with everything on this chart.. People tend to have the risks of an "AI war" in the future all backwards...

i'd be interested in at some point, can anyone here recommend something for a complete noob? it would be best if it's with german speakers in mind but i think i could manage with something in english too.

users:::

I don't know how many out there know about this but it seems to be a somewhat common issue with SMS. One method of resolving it is to use "minicom -D /dev/ttyUSB2" to clear the modems cache.

What worked for me was this::
sudo mmcli -m 0 --messaging-list-sms
^^ this lists the sms queue; the 0 can be replaced with 0-3 iirc.
sudo mmcli -m 0 --messaging -delete -sms=1
^^this deletes a specific sms message in the queue and will allow further messages to come in. Further info about "mmcli" available here::
freedesktop.org/software/Modem

After deleting a bunch of messages, i still wasn't getting all the messages i was expecting- but i got most of them. What ended up bringing the rest in was simply visiting::
NetworkConnections > MobileBroadband > Broadband

Hope this helps. Hopefully a patch will be sent out soon.
