Gunman identified by police

The suspect in the Monterey Park shooting - now dead - has been identified as Huu Can Tran, a 72-year-old male Asian.

This was just announced by LA County Sheriff Robert Luna.

There were heroes at the Lai Lai Ballroom who reportedly tackled and wrestled a gunman and disarmed him before he could enter the club.

LA County Sheriff Robert Luna said they believe the man who was tackled at Lai Lai was the same man who shot and killed 10 people two miles away at Star Dance Studio in Monterey Park. Ballroom dancers are known to frequent both clubs and it’s a tight-knit circle.
