this fiasco with #taylorswift and #ticketmaster after the #zlibrary takedown brings up this enraging question: why does the average #artist make so little money?

society clearly values artistic output. writers, musicians, comics, etc create content that is voraciously consumed. why does the staggering amount of money spent on things like books and music (a damn fortune by me!) end up in the hands of middlemen?

publishers and #ticketmaster and #livenation making bank gaming the market sucks
