Megi's #PinePhone kernel updates bring battery life, performance improvements
I had no idea that there was _unpaid_ work being poured into the Pinephone
I had assumed that both Librem and Pine were supporting their effort with money
I won't judge, just noting that
and, by the way, 5000 USD in donations by people browsing the page is a quite low amount of money, for such a work
To anyone interested in the #Pinephone, or even the #Librem5 and #Linux #smartphones in general, we owe a huge debt of gratitude imo to #Megi.
He's not employed to do this, but donates hundreds of his own personal hours helping to get the hardware working, increase battery life (over and over) and generally make a huge amount of the smartphone progress we've seen, happen.
