The Washington Post has offered useful, even vital, commentary about the growing -- perhaps unstoppable -- threat to our democracy. Here's an example:

But the Post's "news" coverage of politics has barely even begun to acknowledge what's happening. Sporadic noticing of the threat is almost the same as ignoring it.

The same applies, even more, to the New York Times and basically all of Big Journalism.

Journalists will be remembered as the fascists' willing helpers.

@dangillmor No. Do not call it unstoppable, it isn’t. Certainly not easy to stop, yes; quite possibly not winnable in the sense of being something where we can come to a point where we can say “yep, we’re done, it’s all good now”. But unstoppable implies the authoritarians will win for sure, and I refuse to believe that.

@UweHalfHand @dangillmor isn't big part of the problem that they are supported by people that feel detachment in our society? Isn't part of the solution trying to reach out to them, regardless of politics. Voting is the short term solution. Reaching out is the long term one
