if you define game of the year in terms of games *played* this year, my #GOTY is probably Cloud Gardens

if only in terms of games *released* this year, i didn’t play that many, so it seems like chants of sennaar is the obvious winner. i’m curious if there are other strong contenders i missed. sea of stars was very sticky for me, for example, but it won my grudging attention more than it won my heart

“wheels”, the ridiculously polished hearthstone-style minigame inside of sea of stars, probably ranks higher on my list than the main game
