If a third country has any blame for the Russian invasion in Ukraine, this is certainly Germany. Whether this was intentional or out of ignorance is only a minor detail at this point

The pieces of the puzzle seem to fit too well together. Rheinmetall finding ways to export to Russia (https://twitter.com/kamilkazani/status/1558913080360402944), and vetoing exports to Ukraine. The military industry is finding its ways, politicians just need to represent decisions on stage, or at least win time

Particularly interesting: in the chancellery, the military significance of leopard tanks is estimated to be very high - with them Ukraine would have a real advantage over Russia.
…uhm yes that is THE argument FOR delivering leopards ?
…right ?

New from me: the work of CNET's article-writing AI isn't just riddled with errors. It also appears to be substantially plagiarized from pieces that had been published previously, with no citation

@eastbaynian @Lunatech actually this happened long time ago, but many didn't pay attention and now remain stuck in traffic for good 4hrs a day
@tetrislife tell me also about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whataboutism . Because people are being killed because of someone's ill ambitions both in Russia and Ukraine as we speak
An astounding image of our moment at the precipice:
Climate activists standing against the inhuman-scale machinery of the open-pit Lützerath brown coal mine, with a wind farm visible in the distance.

@tetrislife sorry, didn't realise you're asking for "similar plans" from a couple of centuries ago, my bad
@analyticus @garymarcus These are valid questions. Unfortunately, too many in ML forget the world existed before them
@analyticus @garymarcus Well, whenever an institution deploys poor (mildly put) technology, the technology is not the actual problem, it just is not worth it. It is the institution that wastes stakeholder resources and that should be held accountable, regardless if it's corruption or ignorance. In this case, you're not saving money by using a technology that is not fit for purpose
@tetrislife Give me a list of countries annexing territories in the 21st century and we can start looking into each case separately

Excellent from @JeremyCliffe@twitter.com:
-Berlin is consciously & deliberately stalling.
-Scholz believes more than bare min. support to #Ukraine would be a dangerous provocation to #Russia
-Chancellery more concerned with restoring ties to 🇷🇺 than UA’s victory 1/3

Planning for every contingency, yes. Using worst-case scenarios as an excuse for inaction in the face of evil, never. Ukraine must win, and the sooner the better for the world. Our post-Putin plan to cure Russia of the imperial virus: https://www.foreignaffairs.com/ukraine/dont-fear-putins-demise
