@katrintheresa is that earplugs that cost in the three-digits? They better be water resistant. They'd better be eternal for that money, because it certainly had nothing to do with the cost of producing them and paying for planned obsolescence would be off-putting. We've been there with Apple, but that was when their earplugs were still in the mid-double digits.

As a consequence of Biden's support for Israel and its mass slaughter of Palestinians, the Biden campaign is having a hard time finding staff for its election efforts.
Those positions are generally filled by younger people, who Biden has alienated in droves.

Looks like a money laundering scheme if someone actually was "transparent" and drew out their process. But they keep on getting press about them saving humanity in this case.
California nonprofit law is truly broken when OpenAI can be called a non profit. Not that the nonprofit industrial complex isn't broken already. But the dude talking about taking 7T dollars to save humanity is still running a "nonprofit"?

Our paper on the values found in fairy tales from some European countries has been published. We studied how values are explicitly present in tales from Germany, Italy and Portugal using various NLP techniques, but most notably Word2Vec and Word Embedding with a Compass. We visualise synchronic semantic variation to show certain differences based on observations of the corpus, some of them already observed in previous literature. A discussed example in our findings is how motherhood in Germany is strongly related to generosity, whereas in Italy and Portugal it has stronger relationship to wisdom.

We are going to continue our trial here for at least another six months while we share our findings internally and seek more engagement from other BBC teams. We are also planning to start researching ways to publish more BBC content using ActivityPub.

@fediforum the "I post publicly, but I don't want my posts to be searchable" frame of mind. I see this as a problem, because it's inherently contradictory, yet blame gets externalised to tool developers, even if these tools are ethically built
