I offer free tutoring in most college level #STEM courses. Can be online, just random questions, video chat, or even in person.
If anyone needs help learning any STEM topic (even you arent in school), please reach out to me I am always happy to help. If I dont know the subject I can also maybe connect you with someone who does, but I am well versed on most of the basics like #Math, #Biology #statistics #BigData #programming #Chemistry #Medicine #ElectricalEngineering and #RF design.

@freemo do I understand correctly that your map is an aggregate of gerrymandered congressional districts (and the winner-takes-it-all aggregate of many red districts is red itself)?
@freemo I'm ignorant about the US in all possible ways, but isn't this one of the many reasons why your map is so red? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2021/nov/12/gerrymander-redistricting-map-republicans-democrats-visual
This rings true, especially this part:
"The truly toxic idea, though, is that Mastodon instances should not only refuse to federate with Threads, but they should refuse to federate with other servers that do federate with Threads. In other words, users should be punished for decisions they have no control over and may not even be aware of, made by the administrators of servers they don’t belong to. I am dead serious when I call this toxic."

@mastodonmigration @tchambers @chipotle wait, shouldn't it be users that have a say what happens to their content? Since when are admins the ones entitled to take this decision? Maybe there are some consulting mechanisms I'm missing, but I'd love to be enlightened about the workings of some parts of the fediverse I haven't experienced yet
@jaz @dalias @tchambers @chipotle are you saying that deferderation inherently (automatic messaging?) of informs all users of what is happening? If not so, we're talking about the hypothetical behaviour of admins in general, and the easier thing to do is to not inform users
@oceaniceternity @tchambers only that this is taking the "just leave" decision on behalf of the entire pub crowd. Wouldn't it be polite to first inform them at least that they are all about to collectively be made leave?

"How to report better on artificial intelligence"

@noelreports One would wonder why it took them almost a century? I can think only of cynical possible answers
@kittywifclaws yesterday on Mastodon someone asked what cool things we learned recently, I said French seams, we talked about what they are and then a person who rescues baby kangaroos told us they use French seams so orphans don't chew the seams and accidentally eat cotton. Now I follow a kangaroo rescue expert. Mastodon is amazing for this.
@pbogdanov what's wrong with Mastodon app? Tusky ми е прекалено bird-like
@davoloid his analysis is very well motivated historically.
If you allow me, my personal criticism towards him is about a very widespread phenomenon in the post-Soviet space altogether (I come from Bulgaria and have seen this around me a lot). It is about viewing the world from one's own post-Soviet lens, convinced that the free world is abnormal and the gangster economy is the normal state of things (whatever normal might mean). To me this is underappreciation of the wider drives in society against violence. See https://twitter.com/kamilkazani/status/1579161914201866240 Other than that it'd be an understatement if I say I can only admire his ability to put his narrative together and to pull out relevant sources.
The 24th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education has started! Tomorrow at a virtual poster session, I'll be presenting our "Who and How: Using Sentence-level NLP to Evaluate Idea Completeness" paper detailing what we did to provide real-time feedback to free text learner contributions in an online gamified educational toolkit #AIED2023

An online summary of this piece of research is available at https://cco.works/opendata/ . At the same website the CCO Toolkit can be experienced freely. It is an online learning support tool that guides visitors through a problem-based learning experience with Paul Ekblom's Conjunction of Criminal Opportunity crime prevention framework
@Jey_snow @perspektivbrocken @stevefoerster have you considered this list? Some entries look marginally relevant at the surface https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1DVDfc3V7zTpghG0zbIYhHGQFU0rvy4BtpVQiNFn3DC4/htmlview
@davoloid Kamil has some really extraordinary insights about Russia and its history. I don't think I've seen anyone being so capable of translating (also adding untranslatable references) the context so well
