My 17yo daughter went to the grocery today to get a few things. She put the groceries in the trunk, got in the car, & spent a few minutes choosing music to play.
Suddenly someone knocked on the car window. It was a man who looked like he was around 25.
He gestured that she should roll down her window, said “I followed you…” & then asked her for her Snapchat. She said no, he said “oh” & walked away.
What the FUCK, men? Don’t do this shit!
It is scary & exhausting to just *exist* as a woman.
She recently got her first job at a local retail store. On her 2nd day of work as a cashier, a customer asked for her phone number. She said no. He left the store.
An hour later her shift finished and she headed out to the car (in the evening, so it was pitch black outside and chilly to boot)… and that guy was sitting on the hood of his car.
When she drove out of the parking lot, he followed her in his car. She drove around until she lost him, then came home.
WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK, MEN.
