Jack Dorsey always comes off really reasonable in these hearings, to the point I wonder how active he actually is in Twitter's development or if he's 90% just a figurehead that provides a vague direction, and his Diversity Hire staff implements it badly.

@mathlover Whoever made the claim should provide the proof, show in the repo. You don't get to make baseless speculative claims on FOSS software.

There were some clients, like tusky, that blocked gab on the client side, and people went on a holy crusade against everyone that didn't do that, but that's pretty much it, when it comes to hard coded blocks.

We forced computers upon people who didn't actually want them, and then some people get upset when those people refuse to learn more than the bare minimum to do very specific things.

The next time someone says that we can't predict the climate because we can't predict the weather, ask them if they know that it's warmer in the summer and colder in the winter.
