Something different today: Since I've already turned this hashtag into a birds-eye view of my research, today I want to talk about how I understand my work in a broader context.
I started studying #physics at uni, and I am still fascinated by it: Of course the boundaries between different scientific disciplines are and have always been permeable - whether something is physics, #biology or #chemistry is often a question of interpretation and tools, rather than content.
@mc One of the reasons I am no longer a real physicist is that the refusal to define things clearly drove me mad.
I mean, simplifications that physicists do are often warranted, but everyone should be aware when they're happening!
(I still have a physics hat that I sometimes put on instead of my #math hat. Very useful.)

Still, some of my best friends are physicists. 😉
@mc Oh, yes! (Literally; met them all in Undergrad.)
And I still think I'm about half a physicist, or at least \(\frac{1}{3}\)
I definitely don't regret studying any of it at all; it was mostly very cool. If anything, I regret how much physics I don't know/understand.
