> Space is to our #universe what numbers are to the #simulated #reality in any computer. Matter moving through space can simply be seen as operations happening on the #variable #space. If #matter is moving at say 1,000 miles per second, then 1,000 miles worth of space is being transformed by a #function, or operated upon every second. If there were some hardware running the simulation called “space” of which matter, energy, you, me, everything is a part, then one telltale sign of the artifact of the hardware within the simulated reality “space” would be a maximum limit on the container size for space on which one operation can be performed. Such a #limit would appear in our universe as a #maximum #speed.

Yu Ming Is Ainm Dom (My Name Is Yu Ming) is the story of a young Chinese man, who is disillusioned with his dead-end job at a supermarket. UPDATE
Apparently, (automatic) updates policy for Firefox ESR is identical to the one for Firefox Browser.
Firefox Updates
Keep Firefox up to date for the best performance, stability, and security.
Version 78.11.0esr (64-bit) What’s new
Mozilla Firefox for Ubuntu
canonical - 1.0
What I've done:
Installed firefox-esr and set to false 'app.update.auto'
Now I'll wait and watch if the auto updates are trully deactivated.
New #Firefox - How to #bypass the #automatic #updates
1. Install and use instead Firefox ESR.
On ubuntu 20.04 you must add MozillaTeam ppa to your system. On the terminal write:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/ppa
sudo apt update
Now you have Firefox in you repository and you can install it using Synaptic or from the terminal:
sudo apt install firefox-esr
2. (Radical, I've not tested it, should stop all updates until reversed...)
Write 'about:config' on your Firefof's URL bar (without the quotes)
Write 'update' on the top search bar
Toggle the first line, 'app.update.auto', from true to false (click twice on the arrows at the end of the line).
Anyone uses #systemdtimers instead of #cron ?

I've been #searching (and not be able to find) this #film (perhaps a tele film). Plot:
A very joyful young woman gets a different boy friend every month (and names them after the month - Mr May, Mr. June, etc). I think the action takes place in N. York, but I'm not sure. One of the boyfriends doesn't give up on her and comes to find out that she has some kind of cancer (in the head, I think) and has only a few months to live, increasingly painfully.
Cannot find it. Anyone knows what film I'm talking about? #help
(It's an old film, something like the 70s or 80s of the previous century.)
