Hi #running tooters, I need to pick your brains.
I'm getting back into long distance running and increasing my mileage. I've not had any pain over the past two weeks and didn't feel like I pushed myself too hard on any given run, but I've ran more than usual.

Today my soleus started acting up (I stopped my run preventively), I think it's getting sore because of conditioning pain not a specific injury.

Should I stop for a week or keep going but slow? I want to avoid an injury but get stronger!

@sydonahi I agree with the advice in many of the replies. Tough as it is (and I totally get the "bored" comment) way better to back off and heal properly than to push through and risk a more serious issue. I'm trying to follow this advice myself for a small heel discomfort. Plenty of time to bounce back after!! Good luck and do let us know when you're back running! 😀
