It’s the end of an era for me.
I joined Twitter in Jan 2008. My first tweet was “Eating ham 'n potato chowder for lunch. Yum!” (Kinda funny since I no longer eat mammals, but that’s beside the point.) 25.9K tweets & almost 15y later, here we are.
This morning, I successfully downloaded my Twitter archive, updated my profile to point to here, & deleted Twitter from my phone. Feels a bit like moving house. Wonder if I’ll get my security deposit back?
But seriously, grateful to be “home.”

@testobsessed Big move indeed. I joined twitter just a few months after you. Have not yet made any moves to remove my presence there. Will see. Fediverse certainly has a lot of the fun, early feel like early twitter.
