Seeking cat advice; warning: binge eating
Okay so my cats have been throwing up a concerning amount this week. Both Kyrie and Mr. Mittens (but mostly Kyrie).
They eat Solid Gold sensitive skin and stomach and I give them a little over a cup a day. Usually split in half, but with all the vomiting I've been giving them 4ths.
Kyrie has binge eating problems so they both eat out of a puzzle / challenge bowl (since there's no way to simply force that on one cat).
Any ideas what their problem is? Any advice?![]()

@lapis do they have clean running water?
Are they stressed?
Is it a new flavor of food? They might be allergic?

@magicalmilly I can't give them running water (because there's nowhere to put a mini water fountain where Kipper can't reach) but I'll try cleaning their water bowl and filling it with cold water.
Kyrie seems upset lately but I can't figure out why.
And they've been on this food at least 6 months.

Any changes in their peeing and pooping?

@mur2501 @magicalmilly not that I've noticed. They're using their boxes and the poop looks normal

Have they become more aggressive (or maybe passive) then usual?
re: Seeking cat advice; warning: binge eating
@mur2501 @magicalmilly uh... Kyrie has been adamant about going outside lately (she's not allowed outside without supervision), like if the porch door doesn't close fast enough she'll force her way out
re: Seeking cat advice; warning: binge eating
@magicalmilly @mur2501 he's had meetings that have forced him to work more (like he's normally off at noon, but he's had afternoon meetings this week) which affects my schedule too, I suppose.
Do you think that's it? that's the main thing that's been different this week.

@magicalmilly @lapis
Vomitting just for a change in environment is very unusual for a cat. Though anyway don't let your cat eat their vomit and also don't give them food or water for sometime after vomiting. As you say your cat is puking often, so it could be a case of chronic vomiting (which could be caused due to various factors) so maybe a visit to a vet is recommended.

@lapis @magicalmilly
Twice a week while not chronic though still abnormal kinda but seems a little issue. If both cats are affected then it could be in the food, water, air or anywhere. Hard to judge.
re: Seeking cat advice; warning: binge eating
@mur2501 @magicalmilly I will call first thing Monday if they're still sick.
And maybe often is the wrong word? I guess I'd say that Kyrie has puked at least twice this week, and Mr. Mittens at least once. I more called it unusual because once we limited food and changed to a sensitive stomach food, it seemed to all but go away?
Thankfully they leave their vomit alone 95% of the time.
