What's a good reference(ish) book for chemistry? (like feynmanns physics books)
@mur2501 that too but also for long term refernce, beyond the scope of them

@meeper
Okay I will list you some good books the thing with chemistry is that it's very exceptional compared to physics (Means it has many exceptions and laws aren't much universal)
For getting motivation:
1) The Disappearing Spoon: And Other True Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of the Elements - Sam Kean

2) A Short History of Chemistry - Isaac Asimov

3) Stuff Matters: Exploring the Marvelous Materials That Shape Our Man-Made World - Mark Miodownik

Fucking real theory and textbooks:

1) Chemistry for Dummies

@meeper
2) Organic Chemistry for dummies

3) Organic Chemistry by Paula Yurkanis Bruise

Inorganic Chem:
4) Inorganic Chemistry by J. D. Lee

5) Atkins Inorganic Chemistry

6) Inorganic Chemistry by Catherine Housecroft

Physical chem:
1) Physical Chemistry: A Molecular Approach (Donald McQuarrie)

2) Atkins Physical Chemistry
