@mur2501 @strawberryfieldsforever @tombies I am looking for a non techie. So I think something related to Ubuntu is much better to consider. Am I wrong?

Solus is also the most user-friendly compared to many other especially in the lightweight OS realm.
You don't have to go techie on it unless you r doing techie stuffs.

If your friends are gonna learn (maybe ethical hacking, maybe networking etc) then Ubuntu is always good cause all books and resources cater towards ubuntu.

@mur2501 @strawberryfieldsforever @tombies They doesn't do any techie stuff like that. What about software availability in Solus? Compiling from source is not an option.

Solus has it's own repository as well as it supports Flatpak and Snap so most stuffs are easily available for the normal user.

As I said the problem comes when building from source or when trying to do techie stuffs.

@mur2501 @strawberryfieldsforever @tombies I see, thank you! I added Solus to the list. The friend will decide.
List :
* Lubuntu
* Kubuntu
* Ubuntu Mate
* Solus Budgie
