@thor My family coat of arms is somewhat similar.. though my coat of arms is from pre-history so not surprising.

@mur2501

Vey minor Royalty, a Baron.. ill find him in my family tree for you if you want. He was 1500s IIRC.. but my coat of arms goes back long before that into pre-history.

@thor

@freemo @mur2501 my cat has a better pedigree than me, amusingly enough

@thor

My pedigree is of **no** value. I didnt even know it existed until I did my family history... ITs a novelty of history and maybe a cool story for my kids, thats its.

@mur2501

@freemo
depending upon where in which region/kingdom he was the baron it could be a very powerful position.
Richard Neville (earl of Warwick) and Bismarck were also Baron's (technically)

@thor

@mur2501

He was the baron of some region around a fairly major city I think.. hold on ill dig him up now.

@thor

@freemo
It is very very likely your great ancestor witnessed Henry The VIII antiques, LIVE
@thor

@mur2501

No he didnt... They wouldnt be antiques for atleast 100 years.. So all he witnessed was some random rich people bling :)
