@raccoonformality I'm currently reading Robin Kimmerer's "Braiding Sweetgrass". It's beautifully written, expertly skirting the line between prose and poetry. Kimmerer draws on her perspectives both as a botanist and as a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation to tell stories centered around ecology and the roles people play in nature. Each chapter is independent from one another, typically focusing on a specific plant, place, or tradition, making this perfect as a "chapter before bed" type book.

For me, the timing of this read could not have been better. I'm a few months away from completing my Environmental Studies degree. Spending so much time learning about the many ways our planet is suffering was weighing me down more than I realized. This book has reminded me of the valuable role people can play as stewards of the natural environment if we come to the role with respect and humility.
