Hey @BenjaminHimes - could I convince you to reconsider your server rule of no job ads? Networking towards eventual recruitment is IMO an important function of the bird site and mastodon. Expecting that one would know all future recruits excludes many potential great finds (lurkers etc). Getting to know every single recruitment target is indeed best, but does not scale, and has high risk of lowering equity in the hiring process. IMO.. :)
@AlexisRohou sure thing! Everything here is a draft, so to speak. I like your point about lurkers, and the possibility that barring job postings would inadvertently exclude those folks.
Perhaps rephrasing to the effect that it should not be the only thing an acct posts?

Requires a simple #jobs hashtag for job posting.
