Had a brief visit to the 'other site' today to see how many medical and social equity folks I followed had moved over to Mastodon. Sorry to read that in spite of knowing that they're going down in flames, many of them find it 'too challenging' to relocate.

@debdiscourse I really don't get the "too complicated" complaint about Mastodon. If you have an E-mail address, it's essentially the same concept but with more social network connectivity to it.
The main big difference is that because it's Federated, the searches aren't nearly as good because there's no central index to it all. Minor inconvenience, IMHO.
