Yeah, I can only see a few choice people. The federated part of this place seems quite broken. I'm attempting to unfollow and re follow accounts, thinking mastodon doesn't know to share from those accounts because the forwarding doesn't quite work in that manner?

Oh, good idea.

Yeah, ActivityPub relies on instances kind of subscribing to each other, so I imagine remote instances don't know to send content to cleverlibre.org instead of qoto, but resubscribing to feeds would update that subscription.

@volkris This also means that anyone whom used to follow me no longer really is - and that CleverLibre's indicators that someone is also following me can be incredibly inaccurate. @freemo

I can try to find a way to auto-fix this maybe. Perhaps internally resend follow requests.

@freemo, cool. These may be two separate but related issues:

1) The people we follow aren't sending their posts to us.
Maybe a manual auto-fix by re-sending whatever ActivityPub calls subscription requests.

2) The people who follow us don't know the domain moved.
Maybe this is handled by the alias and move functionality within Mastodon? It wasn't triggered upon the domain change?

I'm sure this isn't new to you since you've administered this, but maybe a reminder if it's been a while since you really poured into the ActivityPub backend stuff.

Or just a little insight for any other watchers interested in the tech behind Fediverse.

I found out about the new domain while looking at my Snac AP server logs.

They've been giving me things like:

Oct 15 15:27:09 EAB-server snac[102253]: 15:27:09 output message: sent to inbox https://qoto.org/inbox (308 Permanent Redirect)
Oct 15 15:27:09 EAB-server snac[102253]: 15:27:09 output message: giving up https://qoto.org/inbox (308 Permanent Redirect)

@freemo@social.cleverlibre.org So I went to qoto.org, saw it redirected, and searched through all the qoto.org users I follow and re-followed them on the new domain, manually.
