@SirTapTap I don't see the problem, cough, cough, cough. Sounds pretty cool, hehehehe.
In fairness, I'm not against tagging (lol), though as we live in Hell, I wonder if that mightn't attract negativity and abuse. I guess you need a good mod to wrangle those bigots.
Though, I suspect the reason is much more mundane. I don't see people tagging a whole lot, and no, I'm not talking about porn, violence, or this, that. So, maybe it is that.
Also, do you mean... Guro... by R18-G...? Who even likes that... Well, I guess I know of people who go looking at that who are cool.
And then, there are people, like Olives, who really dislikes it. Olives also very much does not like censorship. So, that is very fun.
@SirTapTap Have you encountered the "vague tag"? Here's a vague tag which could cover any number of things, enjoy sifting through hundreds of posts to find what you want.
@SirTapTap The worst vague tag of all, though not on those sites, is "female". Someone actually sits there tagging female, female, female, but don't add any attribute that would actually be useful.
@olives eh, haven't really seen that problem and when most posts have 30+ tags, a vague one or 15 don't really matter. Something like "red hat" might be meaningless to you but somebody else's biggest fetish (or greatest fear).
@olives Tagging is a pretty basic feature of any image-focused site. Even Pixiv tags miles ahead of Misskey, and Pixiv is very poor at tagging compared to Gelbooru, E621 etc
It's essential both to find new content and avoid content you don't want to see, both without over 'curating' a minimum quality level subjectively or 'censoring' by blanket removing material. It's really just the only way to go with a large content base.
