With a small tweak to the tech these folks were building, they could have locked in the authorship of papers on one...
BTW kudos to these folks for coming up with the concept of NFTs well ahead of their time. But I was sceptical of the whole concept when I came across ascribe.io in the mid-2000s and I feel like I too was ahead of my time ;)
@peterdrake that might actually being publishers around to not locking papers behind paywalls though. Just need to convince them that it'll make them money 😜 </sarcasm>
