It's a problem everywhere, but particularly in old media like film and TV. I've written quite a bit about this here on qoto.
When it's subliminal, people get kind of brainwashed and then they perpetuate it unconsciously.
The way to stop it is to actually see it and made it conscious and then avoid content that is racist.
