Why am I getting follow requests when my account isn’t locked? I thought that leaving that Mastodon setting in the “unlocked” position meant nobody needs to ask in order to follow me.
@pnh If they're requests from qoto.com (or .net or .org, I forget which) I was going to ask why that instance was blocked/set to "always check follow requests" until I got a follow request from "Vox Dei".
ALL follow request from that instance now get an automatic "nope' from me. It seems to be a puppy hang-out, which would explain why the admins on wandering.shop want you to actually confirm you want to individually accept follows from its denizens.

(FWIW, I'm not a qoto die-hard. I just landed here when I came to Mastodon pre-Elongate because it's a STEM instance. What Stross is saying doesn't reflect what I've seen here.)

I'd been wondering why I hadn't seen anything from Stross on Mastodon. Has he blocked me? I was assuming Wandering Shop blocked QOTO. Lemme out of jail Charlie, I'm a good atheist liberal I promise and I like hearing what you've got to say!
