@hnapel @pluralistic @ossington Yes. I have been going through the code in this one. Basically it checks if it has location access otherwise it will nag you about it every 7 days based on a cookie timestamp. So even using "show the popup" and then in the actual browser popup "no never" will give you this same popup every 7 days.

I have removed it with a custom ublock filter. It's one of those tiny things that annoy me just a bit. But together with all - other - fucking - shit it's a nightmare.

@hnapel @pluralistic @ossington No you cannot use my location, no I don't want your cookies, no I don't want your newsletter, fuckoff with your chatbot, no I will not install your app, fuckoff with your review, no I will also not review you if you remind me 3 times, no I do not want your newsletter even if you automatically subscribe me when I order something.

The combined annoyance of saying no every single time is so tiring. Fuckoff already. No. No. No.

@peterdrake true. firefox + "i don't care about cookies" + containerized cookiejars + ublock origin makes the web somewhat useable™ again.

If only there was a "do not track" option someone could set once in their browser and some legislation that would force websites to respect it instead of the cookie popups. But alas they made all websites ask for consent instead of respecting the non-consent already present.
