Not sure where to go next with my drawing (one of way too many hobbies). You can look in the "Media" tab of my profile to see where I'm at.
Possible future directions:
Spaceships and other vehicles
Whiteboard drawing (for classes)
Colored pencil
Landscapes and architecture, especially fantastical
Dungeon maps
Fire
Water
Drawing as something to do in my spare time that isn't on a screen
Animals, cute and/or photorealistic
Mandala patterns
Science/nature illustration
Thoughts? Resources (books, video channels, etc.)? Buzzwords?
@mrcompletely A little of both, but maybe a bit more process. Specifically, if I was interested purely in finished products, I'd go digital, but I don't need to spend even more time in front of a computer.
@peterdrake I get that. I can much more easily and quickly do finish quality work digitally, but I usually want to get away from the screen, just as you say.
The question I keep coming back to its whether it's better to focus on and refine a small number of themes or just keep moving from idea to idea spontaneously... But I have no metric for "better". Maybe there's a way to tie multiple things you like into larger compositions. Just an idea, something I'm working on a bit now
