And wear it on my real head
Overheard: "Herons are problematic because their necks almost make them look like snakes with wings."
@TradescantiaHub A search on "csv to decision tree online" finds things like these:
https://datatab.net/statistics-calculator/decision-tree
Hopefully one of them is the magic you're looking for.
@TradescantiaHub Ah, yes! It sounds like what you want is a decision tree classifier. This would likely be covered in any intro machine learning book or course.
Do you have experience with Python or R, or are you looking for a web-based tool?
@TradescantiaHub I'm not sure I understand the problem. Can you give an example?

reminder that in javascript [1, 2, 3] + [4, 5, 6] === "1,2,34,5,6"
this is part of why I disagree with people who say "javascript is fine, if you dislike javascript you're just bad at programming"
javascript loves to find constructs whose meaning is so clear you shouldn't even need to think about what they're doing and booby-trap them so that they completely blow up in your face when you do them
Doesn't the #Orville look like it's designed for shaving an armpit?
@cy@mstdn.io This might be of interest to you.
Me: Has a problem.
Web: You're not the only one!
#unity3d: We fixed that in 2018.
Web: Uh, no you didn't.
"Especially those with respirators"? Huh? I thought an N95 mask WAS a respirator. Can anyone clarify?

@lumpley Crowded field? It's got nothing on "card games about Samoan fireknife dancing". 😆 🔥 🗡️ 🕺
@maridonkers Yes, you can declare the type. The question was about what happens if you don't; the rules have (slightly) changed since 2013.
@freemo That got me a short answer
https://stackoverflow.com/a/73861151/1435803
that includes a link to a much deeper rabbit hole than I care to explore.
It used to be the case in #Haskell that
:t 3
would give you
3 :: Num a => a
but
let x = 3
:t x
would give you
x :: Integer
because storing a value in variable forced the system to commit to a specific type.
Nowadays, though, the latter gives you
x :: Num a => a
What changed? I'm at a loss as to how to search the web for an answer to this one.
