Huge life-saving breakthrough: The first Malaria vaccine has cut #Malaria deaths in kids under 5 by 17%. That's approx. 80,000 children saved in the *first year* alone.

@domen I have that one. Looks intense, but I'll move it closer to the top of my to-read pile.
@LouisIngenthron @georgetakei I thought of stochastic terrorism as somewhat stronger, e.g. someone who knows they have many unhinged followers musing on TV, "Maybe someone will take that guy out. Wouldn't that be great?"
@LouisIngenthron @georgetakei Not ALL speech is protected. Inciting a riot or insurrection is illegal; stochastic terrorism might be viewed as inciting a distributed riot.

@talia_christine Does it weigh the same as a duck?
Lost the last one by 2.5. Intense! Two more games tomorrow.
I "won" my second game of the tournament because my opponent resigned, thinking (incorrectly) that she was caught in a snapback. #HalfThisGameIs90PercentMental

And the blood begins to drip
As we inch toward the cliff
(Lost my first game of the tournament when, with both of us in overtime, I noticed too late that a chain of false eyes leading to safety was one liberty too short.)

An owl stole a child's stick horse and flew around with it.

Presumably if, while wearing these gloves, one of my fingers is cut off, two more will grow back in its place.
@futurebird "sexpunctada"?
At one point in college, we were handing out "sex points" for clever witticisms. It was never made clear how they should be redeemed. At one point someone lamented, "I have no sex points! I am sexually pointless!"

The Biden administration directed government agencies to consider the cost of greenhouse gas emissions in their future purchasing decisions.
This will affect government decisions on everything from agriculture to construction projects. And the vast impact of government purchasing could shift demand enough to affect private industries, too.

@robgalanakis I went through many speakers before I found the JBL Charge 3. Good volume and battery life.
