The federal government can be frustrating because you have so little influence over it, what with over 300 million other voters and undue influence from capital.

You have a lot more power over your local government. That's also where you're more likely to find a candidate you like, rather than settling for "not moustache-twirlingly evil". To the extent that you can, get involved! Donate your time, money, or yard sign space.

Not only can you influence these elections, but people elected to city councils and state legislatures go on to run for governor or federal representative. Start building a pool of competent people who share your priorities and support the policies you want to see enacted. There is no better path to a just, sustainable future.

This is probably the best focus I’ll ever be able to get

Boosts appreciated for reach.

02.07. Ticket to Ride Legacy: Legends of the West

What an utter disaster! @peterdrake had an exceptionally excellent game while I had an exceptionally abysmal game (143 vs 37). Yes, you’re reading that correctly, he beat me by more than 100 points!

I read Tom Benner's very short book "Naming Things: The Hardest Problems in Software Engineering". Experienced software developers will, I think, already be familiar with most of this material, but it could be valuable for new programmers.

02.06. Ticket to Ride Legacy: Legends of the West

A decisive victory over @peterdrake (84 vs 72), but I fear that investments he made during this game may more than compensate him in future.
