@londubh They often bring all of the above plus (with a straight face) "blue lives matter".
Mastodon question: If I didn't shorten the URL, that YouTube link included an image of the video, spoiling the surprise. Is there a way to mark the image as "sensitive" without content warning the entire toot?
Tonight's fireworks distraction movie: Skyfire, which answers the question, "What if Jurassic Park, but volcano?"
The answer is oddly precise flaming boulders falling out of the sky.
It's a Chinese production, with Jason Isaacs (of Star Trek Discovery) as the token westerner.
Points for a scene where you're sure someone is going to have to crawl across a pipe above lava to flip a switch, but our heroes find a more reasonable solution.
According to Wikipedia -- and I am not making this up -- the director also directed this music video:
@londubh Unfortunately, the Big Lie people (who have a completely opposite idea of what's wrong with the country) have apparently adopted this as an emblem.
@hhmacedo Yeah, I got that. It just strikes me as odd that these things behave differently. I would expect

v[1] <- 1
v[2] <- NULL
v[3] <- 3
Tried the racing game Gravel on the strength of the Colorado River DLC for #RiverMonth. (We grasp at straws here.)
It's okay, but it didn't recognize my gamepad and I didn't want to drag out the wheel and pedals.
@trinsec Eventually you build up an immunity to fire.
@trinsec We have those here, too. Alas, it's out of season, and I don't know if they've recovered from the pandemic.
@trinsec We were satisfied. Over-the-top operatic plotline and action scenes.
Of course #Violet is freaked out by fireworks, so it's time to watch an action movie to distract her. Tonight's selection: RRR. Let's settle in for three hours of beefy men jumping and high fiving each other in front of explosions in slow motion.
For #RiverMonth, I thought it might be fun to play a boat racing game. Any suggestions?
Googling for "best __ games" gets me nothing but ads.
