@arstechnica "Sans-serif typefaces are easier to read than their more baroque relatives, particularly on a screen. Additionally, sans-serif fonts are less likely to create problems for people who need to use optical character recognition and text-to-speech tools."
Is there evidence for these claims? The first one certainly isn't consistent with my experience.
@Drkiki *Very Taylor Swift voice*: I knew there'd be Tribbles when you walked in.

DeWilde exercise 6.6: Draw a Vase Using Hatching and Crosshatching. #MastoArt #drawing #beginner
This was hard! The chapter has been building up to drawing the vase, which I had to fake because my actual vase is transparent; I'm not ready for that Escher-level stuff. Drawing the flowers (the vast majority of the work) seemed thrown in as an afterthought. Why did I have to buy such complicated flowers?
One day I hope I find the one other leftist in rural eastern #Oregon. There's no way I'm the only one.

@cypnk It's been pretty normal since March of 2020.
@spencer @cartocalypse I've heard the latter situation described as "passed by value, but the value is a reference".
The difference is that f(a) can modify the object to which a refers, but it can't cause a to point to a different object.
